Professional Development

Making a technology professional development plan lets you know where you are and where you want to be some time in the near future in regards to technology. It also helps to improve teaching and learning as it relates to technology use in schools. It is important for teachers to participate in this type of plan because it allows teachers to become knowledgeable about teaching using technology and learning fun and interesting ways to integrate it into the classroom. Some problems and issues that can occur during the development of a technology plan are that some technologies may be very difficult to operate for teachers such as smart boards or technologically advanced projectors. Also uploading or transferring information from one piece of technology to another could prove to be difficult. This, in turn, could make integrating it into teaching very difficult.

We also provide tablets for our students that act as mini smart boards so students can engage in math problems more easily and have their own view of the activities given to them.
