About Me!

Hello everyone. My name is Darius Ashby.

I was born and raised right here in Baltimore. I can honestly say I’ve lived an interesting life up to this point. I was Born into this world as Darius West. A name that many people will not recognize. I was put into foster care at the young age of 2 and later on adopted at 8. I am a proud father of my 2 year old son. I am a morganite here at Morgan State University and am a third year elementary education major. I believe that choosing the path of teaching is one of the best and most rewarding decisions I’ve made in my life thus far. It has revealed to me the importance of solving the educational issues that face our city today, and the need for male teachers in the classroom. I have high hopes of reaching students not only academically but morally. I also want to teach students life lessons that will benefit them outside of the classroom.
